Lent is a 40-day season of preparation for Easter, marked by prayer, fasting, and almsgiving to remember Jesus' 40 days of fasting in the desert. It serves as a time for spiritual renewal, reflection,
and focus on devotion to God.
St Patty's Day Celebration - March 7
Join our annual St Patty's Day Celebration
Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 5-7pm
in Hamilton House.
The Sullivan Family will provide the corned beef and cabbage -
please bring a dish to add to the festivities!
Spring Rummage Sale - April 17 & 18
The Women’s Association (WA) Spring Rummage Sale will be held on Friday, April 17th, and Saturday, April 18th, from 8:30am to 1:00pm.
Our church receives donations throughout the year, and this is an opportunity for us to sell them to raise money for LAVC Scholarships and our next project, which is to refurbish the Hamilton House kitchen.
It is also a very important event for many people in our
community who depend on it and come to every sale.
We want everyone to come to the Rummage Sale, where you are sure to find amazing bargains, hidden treasures, clothes, shoes, toys, and games, kitchen and household items, small appliances, and furniture,
as well as new, like-new, vintage, collectibles, and more!

the evening of Saturday, May 16th!
Our 76th annual meeting will be held Sunday, May 17th
after our Sunday Services, at 11:30am in Bower Hall.

Aqua Buddies Swim Lessons offered at the CotC Pool
Swim lessons Ages 6 months - 102 years
Aqua Buddies has received approval from the city and health department
to open up the pool at Church of the Chimes. In the wake of Covid-19 we
have implemented new policies and procedures to keep all our instructors
and families safe and healthy as this is the utmost priority for Aqua Buddies.
Our lessons will be scheduled to accommodate requirements for social
distancing, and the cleanliness of the facility will be maintained to ensure
everyone's swimming experience is a safe one. We look forward to getting
back into the pool and seeing all of your smiling faces. Happy Swimming!

February is Black History Month
The theme for Black History Month 2026 is
"A Century of Black History Commemorations”.
Marking 100 years since Carter G. Woodson founded Black History Month focusing on the impact of celebrating Black history and life on Black people's status today and promoting an inclusive, accurate history.
It honors 100 years of dedicated efforts to study, preserve, and celebrate African American contributions to U.S. history and culture, especially important given current efforts to limit Black history in schools.
