Jack Hendershot and Rev. Rae will be leading a class for members and friends in Dreier Hall, Wednesday evenings at 6:30. It is a small group study of financial principles designed to help families and individuals understand how to handle money responsibly. It teaches how to dump your debt, get control of your money, and construct a plan to walk in Financial Peace. Because money management is 80% behavior and 20% head knowledge, FPU helps you build that behavior through commitment and accountability. In short, it's a great way to get your finances on track and make sure you stay there. While based on Christian principles, people of all faiths are welcome to attend and can apply the lessons to their lives. Sign up cost for individual enrollment is $99.
Learn the knitting and crocheting basics. Start a new project or finish up your other projects with our help.
We meet every Friday from 1-3 pm in Dreier Hall on our church campus. Everyone welcome!
For more information please contact the church office at 818-789-7124 ask for Maryam.
Packers for Monday mornings between 10 am and 12 noon are also needed. For many years one congregation had filled that need but they are no longer able to do so. People can come by themselves or bring a friend and join with people from other congregations to pack the grocery bags with the cereal and other non-perishable foods that are distributed to our clients. It's a nice way to make new friends.
OPPORTUNITIES FOR CREATIVITY
Festival Workshop meets Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. - noon in Dreier Hall to create various handcrafted items. Maryam Jonas provides many materials and ideas for you to choose from or you can bring your own to share.
Knit & Crochet Group meets in Dreier Hall every Friday from 1-3pm. The created items are then sold at the annual Holiday Boutique sale which will be held this year on Saturday, Dec. 2nd in Bower Hall.
The income from that sale is used for mission projects and improvements to the church campus.
